Why Us?

It's plain and simple. We love what we do... and we love making television.

RIVR Media is located in Knoxville, Tennessee. The way I look at it, we can do what we do anywhere in the country ... anywhere in the world, but Knoxville is our home and we love it here. Dee Haslam created RIVR Media in 1999. I joined Dee in 2000 to help with the creation of a show called, Trading Spaces for the TLC Network. I liked the company so much that I never left and eventually became a partner. Dee and I are proud to say that we’ve created a great little company that’s done some pretty big shows over the course of 20 years.

To date, we’ve produced thousands of television shows for over 18 different cable networks in all types of genres: docu-soap, reality competition, documentary, true crime, makeover, game show, travel, and sports entertainment. Clearly, it’s hard to pigeonhole our work and that’s just the way we like it. 

Aside from an extraordinary RIVR team of television geniuses, excluding myself, we have RIVR Studio. RIVR Studio comprises of a 1,500-square-foot, sound-proof stage with access to a prep kitchen, hair and makeup room for talent along with a conference room and various other support spaces. Having the studio right on our property allows us to create shows both anywhere AND at home.
